WHO IS AFRAID OF MARK JIMENEZ?
A lot of people in government and in the big leagues of business cower in fear because of Mark Jimenez. They did not want him to stay in Congress in 2003; now they do not want him to run for President.
In the certified true copy of the House Resolution (view image gallery below) that urged the removal of Mark Jimenez from the roll of members of the House, most glaring of the signatures belongs to Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro, who was then the leader of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) headed by Eduardo “Danding” Cojuanco, the party’s titular leader, and chairman of the San Miguel Corporation in partnership with the Philippine government.
Manny Villar was the Speaker of the House when Romeo G. Jalosjos was retained in the roster of Congress.
Mark Jimenez was removed from the House of Representatives in a suspiciously swift process that took only three months for a crime filed outside the Philippines involving excessive political contributions to the Clinton campaign. His case was still being tried by the United States district court at that time and yet the forces in government saw it most crucial to deliberate on and deliver his speedy removal.
In 1996, an 11-year old girl by the name of Rosilyn Delantar was raped by Romeo G. Jalosjos, the congressman of Zamboanga del Norte. He was arrested for this unforgivably heinous crime in 1997, and despite his conviction, he was allowed to continue serving in Congress from prison. He was even allowed by Congress, under the leadership of Manny Villar, and with Gibo Teodoro as a member of Congress and leader of the NPC block, to win a second term in 1998.
Now, Erap is also allowed to run for president despite being a convicted plunderer.
What kind of principles does our government have if those convicted of heinous crimes such as statutory rape and plunder in the Philippines are favored and supported by presidentiables in the likes of Gibo Teodoro and Manny Villar? Through this, they have converted our Congress into a haven for heinous criminals.
Why was the process for removal shortened and simplified for Mark Jimenez? What makes the people involved so afraid?
From 1996 to 1997, Manny Villar was a congressman at the height of the Jalosjos case. In 1998, he became Speaker of the House, while Gibo Teodoro became a congressman and leader of the NPC block headed by Danding Cojuangco.
And in 2003, the year Mark Jimenez was removed from Congress, the same people were present in government, with Villar now a Senator under PGMA’s rule.
What kind of a president will Villar and Teodoro be if they supported a convicted rapist?
Today, Mark Jimenez was de-listed from the official list of Presidentiables for 2010. This mirrors the events of his removal from Congress.
Why are they so afraid?
(House Resolution to unseat Jimenez can be viewed in the gallery below.)
UNEQUAL TREATMENT: AN OVERVIEW
Romeo Jalosjos was charged and convicted of the heinous crime of raping an 11-year old girl. He was convicted on December 1997 by the Regional Trial Court, yet he was only removed from the roster of Congress more than five years later on 23 April 2002. After his conviction, Jalosjos, during the speakership of Manny Villar, ran and won his second term. Thus, for a span of five years, a rapist was included in the roster of the House of Representatives. Eventually, the House resolved to remove Jalosjos from its roster, finally acknowledging that his “conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude, like rape, bars any person from occupying an elective or appointive position in the government.”
On the other hand, upon a bill introduced by several NPC congressmen including then Congressman Gibo Teodoro, Mark Jimenez was hurriedly removed from the roster of the House of Representatives on 22 October 2003, only three short months after the file for extradition arrived. Jalosjos was already convicted during his continued stay in Congress, while Mark Jimenez had not yet been convicted of any crime at that time, and was hence removed for “lack of residence in the district”. As a matter of fact, Mark Jimenez is a resident of the 6th district of Manila as he has faithfully maintained a residence there coupled with an intention to return. Mark Jimenez’s independence and advocacy for total human rights drove the congressmen to conspire to unseat him.

The Jalosjos are still lording Zamboanga del Norte. As hulog na langit, what concrete action would you take to finally eliminate thi rapist from politics? Jalosjos has plenty of money and nobody can match it in Zamboanga del Norte. Jalosjos are also invading the political scene in the nearby provinces like Zamboanga Sibugay and Misamis Occidental. He has children now running as candidates in these two invaded provinces. The rapist is getting bolder!

Once again you are missing the point! It is not the responsibility of anybody except perhaps the government to eliminate criminality in our midst.
The point being made by this site is: SOME POLITICIANS SEEKING THE HIGHEST POSITION IN THE LAND — THE NUMBER ONE LAW ENFORCER, THE PRESIDENCY — THINK NOTHING OF LENDING SUPPORT AND PROTECTION TO A CONVICTED RAPIST!!
Is it because of political expediency? What kind of harmful decisions they will make when they become president for the sake of political survival?
Is it because of bankrupt morality? Sadly, many local and foreign sociologists and political analysts say that the root cause of our problems in this country is LACK OF MORALITY in our leaders and public officials.
In other words, you may be too weak to resist a beast trying to rape you, but morality dictates that at least you should not give your consent to the dastardly act!

“I AM ONLY AN INSTRUMENT AND I SHARE MY BLESSINGS BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT GOD WANTS ALL OF US TO DO — LOVE ONE ANOTHER.” —Mark Jimenez.
NAKAKALUNGKOT LAMANG isipin na MAY MGA TAONG TULAD MO NA ANG AKALA AY MARUNONG PA SILA SA DIYOS at they ridicule people being used as instruments of GOD to fulfill His wishes on earth!!

“There is nothing more frightening than active ignorance”.– Goethe.
No one is trying to imply or tell that Mark Jimenez is free of sin! It is just your imagination. In fact, if you read carefully the brief account of his life, you’ll see that he voluntarily went to the US, presented himself in court, and admitted his mistake. He had no idea that giving his own money to American candidates he admired – Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and others – was illegal in the States because it was , and still is NOT, a crime in the Philippines. He apologized to the court and paid for his mistake.
Neither is anyone saying that he is hulog ng langit. Again, you are MISREADING the facts or deliberately and MALICIOUSLY MISINFORMING people. In all occasions when Mark Jimenez is helping people and those recipients wanted to thank him, this is what he said:
“Don’t thank me. I’m only an instrument, The gifts and blessings you receive are Hulog ng langit. Thank God instead of me!”
Where do you read in there that he’s implying he – MJ –is hulog ng langit? He said the gifts and blessings are the hulog ng langit, hindi siya. .

This is ridiculous. You’re just making something out. No one of the said politicians protected the rapist. You’re just making something out.. putting words not said or done.

The truth that makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear. Go to the library of Congress and search the archives. There you’ll see the truth whether they protected a rapist or not.
Or look for the excerpt of the final decision of the Supreme Court I posted somewhere in this site.
The Highest Court says that Jalosjos and his supporters (read “protector” for that) in Congress, believed that they are ABOVE THE LAW. And Jalosjos should be allowed to be exempted from his conviction! So, in its resolution the Highest Court, sitting en banc, asks:
“Does membership in Congress exempt an accused from statutes and rules which apply to validly incarcerated persons in general?…”
I don’t believe the 12th Congress and the Supreme Court justices were just making a fictional story, “putting words not said and done” in paper, do you?

A true leader would not resort to libelous bashing and flaming to show the country how much better he would be compared to other aspirants.

I do believe this is the real thing! Mark Jimenez answers and discusses the issues and controversies being hurled against him on a factual basis. Unlike most politicians who hide behind contrived accusations of “Pulitika lang iyan”.
For ewxample the C-5 issue in the senate. Manny Villar refused to attend the committee hearings to defend himself. Even in court when you refused to cooperate with the judge, you lost the case by default. Now that the committee report is ready condemning Manny Villar’s manipulation of the C-5 project to benefit his subdivisions to the tune of P6 billion, his answer is “Pulitika lang yan! and to boycott the senate sessions and try to oust Senate President Enrile from his post. Meanwhile, Manny Villar stubbornly REFUSED to answer the issues. This is the clssic answer of scoundrels and fraudsters who are guilty aS CHARGED!!

Are this real? Or just another political propaganda? Nowadays, it’s hard to discern who is telling the truth.
Though I do believe that some politicians are guilty of the accusations stated here.
